FlashBoot: Convert various types of boot CDs/DVDs and floppies to USB thumbdrive

FlashBoot can convert a variety of bootable CDs, DVDs and floppy disks to bootable USB thumbdrives or USB HDDs:

  • IsoLinux-based bootable CD
  • GRUB-based bootable CD
  • Floppy-emulation based bootable CD
  • HDD-emulation based bootable CD
  • MS-DOS/PC-DOS/FreeBSD boot disk
  • Syslinux-based boot disk
  • GRUB4DOS-based boot disk
  • Windows NT boot disk
  • Extract Recovery Console from Windows XP setup files
  • Extract DOS from Windows 9x setup files
  • Clone bootable USB thumbdrive

Example: Convert Emergency Boot CD to bootable USB thumbdrive

1) Run FlashBoot, click Next:

2) Choose CD -> USB in Main Menu:

3) Choose CD/DVD drive or image file and click Next:

4) Choose "Wrap bootable CD/DVD" from the scenario list and click Next:

5) Choose target USB thumbdrive or USB HDD and click Next:

6) Enter volume label or leave it as is and click Next:

7) Check summary information and click Next:
